You will pre-qualify,
be approved, and close much faster if
you are able to provide the following at the time of your application (you
can pre-qualify without all these, but you will need them eventually):
- Bank statements for the
last three months for all accounts (including CD, IRA, Stock, Mutual Fund,
401-K)
- Last 30 days of pay stubs
- W-2 forms for the last
two years
- Residence addresses for
the past two years with name, address and phone of landlord if rental
- Names and addresses of
each applicant's employers
- Names and addresses of
former employers (if at current position less than 2 years)
- Name, address, account
numbers, and balances/payments on all open loans and credit cards
- Addresses and loan information
about other real estate owned
- Last 12 cancelled rent
or mortgage payment checks or bank statements
- Fee for Credit

Plus, if you have picked the
house: Purchase and sale agreement (contract).
Plus, if you are claiming alimony
and/or child support: Complete divorce decree, property settlement agreement,
and proof of receipt of income.
Plus, if you are self-employed:
Tax returns for the past two years, personal and corporate, and the most recent
profit/loss statement and partnership documentation (if applicable).
Plus, if you want a VA loan:
Eligibility Certificate and DD214's and Original LES
If you are refinancing also
bring:
- Note, Mortgage or REC,
survey, settlement statement, and Title Policy
- Payment coupon book
- Homeowners Insurance
